  The NEW "Mandown" module fits inside the Maxon SL55 radio.  This monitors the vertical attitude of the user, if the user goes "ManDown" E.g. the radio is held 60' from vertical for longer than a pre-set time, the radio emits a pre-alarm loud warning tone, if no action is taken during this warning period, then the radio will automatically go into emergency mode and  transmit a special code to an on site base station. In emergency mode the radio will  automatically transmit and receive every few seconds allowing remote listening and passing of messages without the Lone Worker touching the radio.  This signal in turn will sound an emergency alert at the Base Station and can also be interfaced to and autodialer if required.

  A Base Station fitted with advanced selective calling such as the Tait T2020 is required as part of the operating infrastructure of this system.
