Lone Worker Protection .....

New legislation requires companies to demonstrate a duty of care for staff working alone. Some form of protection / monitoring is required to fulfil this requirement.  We are able to offer a number of products for different operational environments at competitive prices for dedicated products.

General Overview......

Our best value product is built within our Radio Flexilink range operating on VHF UK licence exempt frequencies.  It is designed for small to medium sized factory environments.  Multiple receivers can be linked to give extended coverage in difficult environments.  As RF engineers, we know the problems caused by various building techniques.
The worker to be monitored carries a portable transmitter usually clipped to their belt.  This monitors movement and is required to be usually in a vertical position (within 60').  Guardian LW3 can also monitor just movement   If the tilt function should be inappropriate, either or both features as required can be individually adjusted.   Incorporated is an instant panic call button for immediate alarm signalling.

To prevent annoying false alarms the unit has various features built in.  When the Lone worker monitor is tilted out of vertical past 60' for normal working or is totally stationary, nothing happens for 40 seconds (Adjustable prior to delivery but normally 40 seconds). If this attitude is maintained or no movement is detected, then the user will hear an intermittent bleeper sound, this will tell the user to put the unit upright or move to reset the timing sequence,  if no action is taken for a further 40 seconds, a digitally coded transmission is sent to the receiver.  A user operated instant panic button is included as standard.  Once fired into an alarm condition, the transmitter continues to transmit and sound the locator bleeper until manually reset.  Both the movement and the tilt functions of the unit can be monitored by individual LED indicators.

In addition to the "Man Down" function, the unit can also be configured to monitor movement OR tilt only.

For applications not requiring the tilt or movement function, versions with just a panic button or a neck pendant style transmitter can be supplied.

The receiver can sound an audible alarm and can additionally be connected to an Autodialer to summon assistance off site.   Normal operating range of the Lone Worker transmitter is up to 500 Mtrs line of sight outdoors. However for factory environments we normally suggest 200/300 Mtrs and this must be subject to thorough site testing ........  Our PC display interface provides hard printed copy of tests and alerts, invaluable for Health and Safety conformity.
